AboutBill Gilmore claims he was born around 1406 in Sussex and traveled extensively in Europe and the Mediterranean Rim. He tells us he then sailed to Virginia around 1640, and moved westward, eventually to what is now Oregon. Later he sailed to Santiago, Chile, where he followed the Inca road north, crossed into Argentina and took ship to the Dutch East Indies. After a few years he returned to Virginia, and about 50 years ago he found himself in Michigan.
