There’s nothing like a picture book to drop you in a moment, a memory, and have you feeling the feelings, experiencing the magic anew. This book filled my heart. My daughter, now grown, was quite a collector. She would have worn this book out. In A Jar set me right back down in the memory of the moment she started her first jar collection; worms she gently deposited after naming each one, and which we eventually released. I still have heart shaped stones (many other shapes too) she gifted me in a basket, bowls of shells, random trinkets. Each one capable of transporting me back to her childhood, that moment, experiencing the wonder alongside her.
